The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Budget Technician. This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Government Operations Cluster (GOC), Office of Finance and Resource Management (OFRM). The incumbent is responsible for providing a wide range of technical support as it relates to budget analysis and administration to budget analysts, departmental program managers, accountants, and other financial personnel.Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Collecting, compiling, and consolidating data to support budget requests.
  • Analyzing and comparing supplemental budgetary data to ensure accuracy and resolve issues.
  • Validating requests for correct financial attributes; preparing and reviewing outgoing correspondence and other documents.
  • Processing financial documents; and collecting, compiling, and consolidating data.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree or (2) two years of general work experience performing duties related to providing administrative, clerical and/or financial support.*If qualifying based on education, applicants must submit an official transcript that verifies a Bachelor's degree. If applicable, your application package must include a U.S. evaluation of all foreign transcripts.
