Office of Intramural Training & Education is Hiring a Staff Scientist Near Bethesda, MD

About the position

Staff Scientist to lead the Metabolome Group. The Group uses liquid biopsy to identify individuals for: (a) early detection of lung cancer by low dose computerized tomography, prediction of early-stage cancer (b) a high risk of recurrence and (c) response to therapy. Independent studies are underway to investigate other types of cancer including pancreas, breast, prostate, mesothelioma, and glioblastoma of the brain. The Metabolome Group requires a Computational Metabolomist and Biologist Scientist with mass spectrometry, machine learning, deep learning, bio-analytical chemistry expertise for LHC extensive collaborative studies of lung, pancreatic, prostate, liver, breast, and brain cancer.
