The DTB-PD facility develops and implements novel assays to identify and measure pharmacodynamic (PD) markers using blood and tumor samples from patients in clinical trials on a collaborative basis. The facility’s expertise is primarily in cell-based assays including flow cytometry analyses, immune and non-immune cell enumerations. The PD facility plays a major role in developing and deploying PD assays based on research in DTB, and in providing an essential component to the clinical trials.
We seek to hire a Staff Scientist to lead the DTB-PD. Primary duties will include overseeing the routine operations of the facility, developing and managing collaborations, contributing to scientific publications, and carry out the development and deployment of new assays applicable to clinical trials. The position involves supervisory responsibilities over facility staff and trainees, and the Staff Scientist will be expected to be actively involved in mentoring. The PD lead is viewed as a PI and will be expected to participate broadly in research and in setting directions for the facility at the interface of the clinical and basic objectives of the DTB.
