You can work in various jobs and locations within the community or in Community Rehabilitation Programs. Having a reliable automobile and a flexible schedule is essential. Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour; mileage; differential for late night and weekend hoursLocation: Minimum Qualifications: Degree a ; High school diploma/GED required. Atleast 2 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.Must be highly motivated and able to work without direct supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must have a clear background check and driving record.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Support clients on the job in multiple settings
• Train individuals with disabilities to perform job tasks by modeling duties and using appropriate methodology, including task analysis, prompting, fading, etc
• Act as a positive role model at all times
• Create and maintain positive relationships with clients, employers, and family members
• Manage crises
• Develop training activities appropriate for clients that will develop new skills
• Assist clients in developing and implementing their goals

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to work standing for an 8 hour shift
• Able to lift and carry a 50 lb. parcel across a large warehouse
• Able to work under varying climatic conditions, indoors or outdoors, in cold or heat
