The Driver/Mover/Packer assists in loading and unloading household goods and completes pick-up and delivery of freight to various customer locations within the local areas.

Work Schedule:

• Work schedules may vary Monday through Friday.
• Day shift
• No nights

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate vehicles in compliance with local and state traffic codes/laws and company procedures.
• Pack, load, and deliver household goods in a safe manner.
• Crate prepping.
• Perform pre-trip inspections on all vehicles he/she operates and ensures any necessary repairs are completed according to state and federal regulations prior to leaving the terminal.
• Ensure load is properly stowed and secured to prevent shifting or damage due to shifting during transit to the delivery location.
• Use proper equipment for loading/unloading of freight to prevent damage to product or injury from strain, etc.
• Knowledge to install and remove tire chains.
• Maintain a professional attitude with customer, coworkers, and motoring public.
• Observe work schedules and specific delivery requirements set forth by American Fast Freight and their customers.

Experience:

The job physical demands include constant and repetitive actions involving:

• Must possess a valid Class D drivers' license and a good driving record.
• Standing, Sitting, Stooping, Walking, Lifting, and Reaching.
• Lifting overhead 5-60 lbs. during loading and unloading.
• Carrying freight 5-50 lbs. 5-50 feet.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions inherent to working location inside and/or outside.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

*Sign on bonus is for full-time positions. Paid after completing 30 days of employment. Associate must be in good standing.
