Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Assist with audits and tax filings
- Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA certification or working towards CPA certification preferred
- 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
