ODA Community Developme is Hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant Near Brooklyn, NY
An Occupational Therapy Assistant provides rehabilitativeservices for children and adults under the direction of an occupationaltherapist.
Responsibilities:
-Reviewing and confirming medical history in the EMR system;confirming purpose of treatment and recording patients’ progress with eachappointment.
-Provide occupational therapy services for our outpatientclinic in compliance with policies and procedures established by ODA.
-Contribute to the modification of the intervention plan byexchanging information with the occupational therapist
-Provide quality patient care in conjunction witheducational training of patient, family and supportive personnel.
-Be capable of providing pediatric based behavior managementstrategies that matches the needs of a child with developmental disabilities
Requirements:
-Graduate from an accredited program for CertifiedOccupational Therapist Assistants.
-Current license as a Certified Occupational TherapistAssistant in the state of New York
-Demonstrate knowledge of normal growth and development inorder to provide age appropriate services
-Must have a strong commitment to a team dynamic as well asthe ability to take initiative
-Must have good communication and interpersonal skills aswell as an ability to effectively relate to all medical staff and patient
