Octaura LL TradingCo LLC is Hiring a Lead Software Engineer Near New York, NY

Lead Software Engineer – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Octaura LL TradingCo LLC) – Develop and support an e-trading software application used in the Loan and CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligation) markets. Perform requirements refinement and sprint planning. Design and review technical architecture. Design and implement database schemas. Develop application user interface and conduct server-side (backend) development. Design and develop WebSocket and REST APIs. Develop ETL processes that integrate application with third-party data vendors to download data into Octaura’s data warehouse. Provide technical support and automate the deployment, testing and monitoring of Octaura’s applications. Work closely with multiple technology vendors on development, security, and IT support. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Computing Technologies, Information Technology, or Computer Science plus four years of experience in position offered or in a software engineering position. All required experience must have included: creating, maintaining, testing, and deploying modern SPA (Single Page Applications) web applications in Angular, React and AG Grid; designing and developing responsive front-ends that can scale across desktop, laptop, and mobile devices; automating testing using Junit, Jest and Cypress; using Java and Spring Boot to build performant and high availability backend trading systems; performing database schema design including creating relationships, normalization and defining column definitions. At least 1 year of experience must have included: performing software development of loan portfolio trading applications; applying knowledge of loan trading industry and electronic trading platform; building and integrating with REST and WebSocket APIs using Apollo GraphQL, Apollo Client, and GraphQL Federation. This role entails hybrid work, with four days required in our New York, NY office and an additional work day telecommuting from the worker’s home in the U.S. Salary: $160,000-$170,000/year.
