Octagon Internal is Hiring an Experiential Designer Near Stamford, CT

CREATIVE / Responsible for creating bold, innovative ideas and developing branded content and experiences for our clients' sports programs and partnerships.

***Our headquarters is located in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a preference for working in one of our office locations (Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA.) in a hybrid model ***

If so, this job is for you! The Design Team is looking for an Experiential Designer with strong skills in 3D rendering, who wants to work at the forefront of sports and entertainment marketing.

But what will I do? Glad you asked. We've got a ton of XM work that needs someone with the craft and desire to bring the creative to life. Specifically, you'll work alongside a team of versatile designers, creative directors, and copywriters to create exceptional 3D footprints for our clients and, more meaningfully, the diverse and ever-changing audiences they're engaging with. Some of the brands you'll be working on are The Home Depot, BMW, PlayStation, GEICO, Delta, and Amazon to name a few.

We all work hard, but it's not working hard just to prove who can work the longest. We work hard because the creative opportunities are great, and we actually like working with each other to create interesting, engaging work. We also know that all work and no play make for terrible ideas.

The work you'll do

  • Manage day-to-day experiential needs across major clients as the lead designer
  • Work alongside Creative Directors, Copywriters, and the Experiential team to generate clear ideas and bring them to fruition
  • Create 3D experiential footprints as well as designing the signage/graphics that live within them
  • Work on a variety of programs and projects, large and small, with both new and existing client relationships
  • Assist with traditional design jobs during downtime on experiential projects
  • Present creative internally and to clients
  • Illustrative skills a bonus!

Who we're looking for

  • Formal design training and 6-10 years of experience in experiential marketing
  • A portfolio that showcases best-in-class experiential renders
  • Strong working knowledge of Cinema4D, Blender, SketchUp or related software, and Adobe suite
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in sports, music, and entertainment are beneficial
  • Experience with modeling and texturing
  • Proficient working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to take a leadership role, while working well within a team-centric environment
  • Proactive, solution-oriented thinker and doer
  • Managing and prioritizing multiple projects with varying timelines and needs]
  • Have excellent communication and presenting skills
  • Have experience working with vendors

The base range for this position is $85,000 - 100,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background pertinent experience, and qualifications.
