Airport Security Officers : Unarmed
$15.00 / Hr.
- Must either be registered as a Security Officer with LSBPSE, or be able to meet requirements for registration, including :
- Pass a fingerprint background check with the State Police
- Complete necessary guard classroom training
- Complete firearms training if assigned to an armed post
- Must be in good physical condition to complete necessary post assignments, which might include walking, driving, or standing for extended periods of time
- MUST have a professional presentation, both in appearance and demeanor
- Possess excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Demonstrate a commitment and understanding of core values such as respect, integrity, and accountability
- Work successfully in either a team-oriented or solo environment
- Available to work rotating shift work (24 / 7) schedules
- Ability to use sound judgment, decision-making skills, and discretion
Responsibilities :
Depending on nature of assignment :
- Conduct mobile or foot patrols of an assigned area or property
- Complete accurate and detailed reports utilizing a web-based reporting system
- Access and egress control
- Search of persons, containers, or vehicles
- Perform other duties as requested or required
