Position Overview:

The Product Manager is responsible for implementing strategy for their assigned product lines, with the goal of ensuring and increasing the profitability of those products. They act as the internal champion for their products, and they must coordinate resources from other departments to achieve success.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for generating new products and determining unprofitable ones.

Determines requirements based on customer needs and expectations. The product range is based on a good understanding of user needs, competitive products, market trends, and opportunities for innovation.

Responsible for compiling and updating the product road map to visualize what project to do when. Lists functional specifications and required certifications.

Continuously monitor the product’s profitability by tracking KPIs over time.

Coordinates thorough product launches, ensuring that the sales team receives proper product training and support.

Responsible for the required product documentation, including language variations for different markets.

Determines what sales products and services are required for each product. The scope of this includes customer training, service, test equipment and spare parts.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field required. MBA preferred.
  • 1 plus year of experience in product management within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental product management concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-organized with effective planning abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP systems at an advanced level.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
