Job Title: DNS (Director of Nursing Services) - Skilled Rehab Nursing Home-Oceanside Care Center 

Job Summary: The DNS will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the skilled rehab nursing home. They will provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring that they are providing high-quality care to residents. The DNS will also be responsible for ensuring that the facility is in compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as for developing and implementing policies and procedures that support the delivery of safe and effective care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, ensuring that they are providing high-quality care to residents.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that support the delivery of safe and effective care.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
• Ensure that the facility is in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including those related to nursing practice.
• Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to develop care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
• Monitor the quality of care provided by nursing staff, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in the hiring and training of nursing staff, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide high-quality care.
• Ensure that nursing staff are following established infection control procedures and protocols.
• Manage the budget for the nursing department, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately to support the delivery of high-quality care.
• Serve as a liaison between the nursing staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team, as well as between the facility and external stakeholders such as regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing practice and long-term care
• Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Experience with budget management and financial analysis
