Job Overview:

Oceanetics is seeking a full time Project Manager for ocean related science and engineering projects. The position is required to be in the Oceanetics Ventura California office. The Project Manager is responsible for all attributes of successful projects such as safety, project planning, project budgeting, engineering management, technical performance, resource planning, quality assurance, and job profitability.

Projects are ocean related and include ocean installations, cable systems, sensing systems, ocean structures and infrastructure, waterfront structures, and related new development efforts in a variety of engineering disciples. Strong science/engineering/technical background is requisite for managing Oceanetics projects. The development of a strong customer-contractor teaming relationship is paramount, as well as the efficient delivery of engineering solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or higher from accredited university/college
• 15 years of experience in science and/or engineering projects, preferably ocean related
• 10 years of experience managing people and projects
• US Secret Security Clearance
• Must be knowledgeable of US Navy Contracts, Policies, and regulations, program requirements and system implementation, security protocols and must obtain a Tier 3 US Department of Defense Security Investigation.
• Strong communication, technical writing, computer, organization and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage more than one project simultaneously
• Ability to work offshore and/or overseas
• Ability and willingness to work at project sites for several weeks at a time, several times a year
• Microsoft Project and/or other project management tools
• Knowledge of regulatory laws and responsibilities (OSHA at a minimum)

Pay: $115,000.00 - $144,000.00 per year
