Be Your Biller - Billing Assistant

- Starting pay Commensurate with Experience -

The Position:

This full-time position for a Billing Assistant manages a multitude of tasks in the day-to-day operations of the Billing Department. The Billing Assistant helps by handling: Billing activities, Eligibility verification and weekly reports, etc.

Requirements:

• AA with or BA/BS with some experience
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
• Competency with computers and relevant software applications
• Basic skills in customer service principles and practices

Job Duties:

• Perform daily billing functions for billing company, commercial insurance, and Medicaid
• Verify client eligibility
• Reconcile remittances and research all denials and rebill as necessary
• Phone calls to insurance companies for follow up
• Report to Billing Director any discrepancies
• Provider insurance credentialing and follow up
• Update reports for Billing Director for provider billing
• Correspond with providers
• Other duties as assigned
