Royal Suites Healthcare and Rehabilitation is a 186 bed Skilled Nursing Facility and we are seeking a Per Diem Maintenance worker. This is striclty an on call basis. Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Mechanic will perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks at 214 west Jimmie Leeds Road. Tasks include maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, telecommunications, HVAC and atmospheric control systems.

The duties of this position include but are not limited to: 

• Responds to paging requests from facility personnel for normal repairs and is alert to possible emergencies such as oxygen bottle replacement, busted pipes, leaking gas, overflowing toilets, broken call bells. All of these are priorities and should be responded to as such. 
• Takes random temperatures on hot water faucets and logs temperatures on the appropriate form. 
• Inspects the grease traps once a month and fills out the necessary paperwork. 
• Maintains a watchful vigil on the infrastructure of the Home and reports any potential problems back to the Director of Maintenance. When alone, or on weekends, informs the nursing supervisor of possible problems and informs the director by phone or beeper of any fire alarms or serious maintenance issues that arise.
