- Guide clients through service offerings and determine which massages would benefit them most
- Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions
- Maintain accurate and timely medical record documentation of consultation and treatment
- Evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body
- Advise clients on stretching, strengthening or relaxation methods
- Suggest future massage appointments and regime to clients
- Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as they desire
- Take initiative to present products and services in a professional and proficient manner through product and treatment knowledge.
- Understand the services of Revive – the advantages and benefits.
- Remain current and knowledgeable on portals and electronic charting system that Revive uses to assist in client experience.
- Personally work with clients to deliver and develop customer loyalty.
- Participate in execution of various med spa events.
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Attend required meetings and training programs.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Participate in collaboration with other team members to promote continuity of care including cross referring to other spa providers.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work toward continuous quality improvement.
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in all Social Media, marketing, and brand management of Revive to promote services, treatments, products, and other providers.
- Completed 500 hours of massage therapy courses
- Must hold current massage therapy certification
- Experience working in a spa preferred
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Time management abilities
- Demonstrated sales and customer service skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Current Iowa Board of Massage Therapy Licensure
- Current National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Certification
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Standing – Approximately greater than 2/3 of on-the-job time.
- Walking – Approximately 1/3 to 2/3 of on-the-job time.
- Sitting – Approximately 1/3 to 2/3 of on-the-job time.
- Use of hands to finger, handle or feel – Approximately 1/3 to 2/3 of on-the-job time.
- Reaching with hands and arms – Approximately less than 1/3 of on-the-job time.
- Climbing or balancing – Approximately less than 1/3 of on-the-job time.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling – Approximately less than 1/3 of on-the-job time.
- Talking or hearing – Approximately greater than 2/3 of on-the-job time.
- Tasting or smelling – Approximately 1/3 to 2/3 of on-the-job time.
- Travel- Approximately less than 1/3 of on-the-job time.
- Weight lifted/Force exerted – An average of approximately up to 10 pounds greater than 2/3, up to 25 pounds 1/3-2/3 and up 40 pounds less than 1/3, of on-the-job time, non-continuously
- Vision – must have clear vision near and far, with or without corrective measures
