Job Details
OTSI (Object Technology Solutions, Inc) has an immediate opening for a System Administrator.
System Administrator (onsite )
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:
- Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of rack mounted computer hardware
- Experience with basic networking hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with OS software: Windows Server, Linux, and virtual machine installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. (VMware a plus)
- Desire to learn proprietary HPE NonStop System concepts and technologies.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a small Lab Operations team.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and telephone skills
- Ability to work effectively with remote U.S. and offshore personnel
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks with minimal direction
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Ability to define, implement, and monitor process changes
- Problem-solving approach to resolve problems, improve processes, and increase productivity
- Generation of status reports
- Working with project schedules and timelines
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and pull/install cable
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with OS software: Windows Server, Linux, and virtual machine installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. (VMware a plus)
