Sanitation Technician

Hours: 12:00pm- 8:00pm; Monday-Friday

Pay: $20/hour

Scope

An individual in this position will be responsible for basic sanitation job duties in the building, along with light maintenance responsibilities.

Job Functions

• Sanitation tasks throughout the facility, examples being;
  • Scrubbing and buffing floors
  • Cleaning walls, pipes, drains, vents, and fixtures.
  • Filling consumable supplies dispensers
• General Building Maintenance; examples being
  • Changing light bulbs
  • Furniture Assembly
  • Minor building repairs
  • Minor upkeep of building exterior
  • Painting throughout the facility.

Education and Experience

• Reading, writing, and speaking English is required
• High school education or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Follow Sanitation procedures according to SSOP’s.
• Complete daily post sanitation checklists
• Must be willing to work together with co-workers as part of a team; also, must be self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.

Computer Skills

• Experience with using a computer required
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products preferred

Physical Demands

• Standing, stooping, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling
• Must be able to climb and work from a ladder and/or elevated lifts
• Must be able to lift and carry weights of 50-100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision
• Wear appropriate protective gear, including gloves, hair/beard nets, hard hats, face/eye shields, aprons, boots, etc.

Environmental Conditions

• Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from -40F to 130F
• Must be able to work in wet environments
• Must be able to handle equipment and chemicals in accordance with company, government and safety data sheet guidelines
• Must be able to work in a facility with allergens including Dairy, Tree Nuts, Eggs, Peanuts, etc.

Additional Information

• This position is full-time with potential work shifts outside normal scheduling based on business needs.
• We will always try to minimize production on holidays, but this cannot be guaranteed. We will do our best to accommodate a fair work schedule to allow for time off.
