Job Description:

Oberg Properties is growing, and our maintenance team is looking to add a few members to the team. We are looking for both an experienced Maintenance Technician and for an apprentice who is looking to learn the trade. Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• Prior commercial maintenance experience is a plus, but not required.
• Proficiency in basic maintenance and general repair across various areas, including: Electrical, Plumbing, Grounds keeping, Carpentry, Drywall, Paint, Exterior Structure and Facility Repair.
• Capable of coordinating and completing multiple maintenance projects efficiently.
• Basic computer skills. This job allows you to dispatch from home. You must be able to communicate via email and update work orders with photos and job progress.
• Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical functions.
• Knowledge of and ability to work with hand and power tools.
• Having your own tools is a plus but tools can be provided as needed.
• Must be able to pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license.

Maintenance Apprentice Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interest in learning maintenance and repair skills.
• Willingness to follow instructions and learn from experienced technicians.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
• Physically able to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and responsibly.
• Eagerness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
• Must be able to pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various manual labor tasks in building maintenance, landscaping, and irrigation.
• Operate and maintain power tools and mechanical equipment to enhance performance.
• Conduct light vehicle and equipment maintenance, as needed.
• Assist with general property cleanup, including trash and debris removal from grounds, buildings, and warehouse areas.
• Power wash sidewalks, buildings, and other surfaces as needed.
• Conduct general maintenance, repairs, and upgrades as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform regular equipment maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness in warehouse spaces.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
