OBAYASHI CORPORATION is seeking qualified candidates with an interestin Heavy Civil Construction and Engineering, including Tunneling, Bridge, and/or Water/Waste WaterProjectsin USA.

ROLE:Contribute and learn aboutheavy civil projects undertaken by Obayashi Corporation, support various projects with engineering support, preconstruction and estimating groups with project pursuit and various home office support functions.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with support of various projects field operations
• Take direction from VP of Engineering and Managers for day to day tasks
• Support of heavy civil pursuits
• Support project cost controls and Viewpoint Vista use
• Assist with set up and maintenance of HCSS HeavyJob for new and ongoing projects
• Participate in the estimating and proposal process for the tender of new projects.
• Breakdown and organize RFQ, RFP requirements into trackable sections
• Organize meetings based on proposal calendar
• Assist with development of content for RFQ’s & RFP’s
• Finalizing and packing of proposals
• Assist with preconstruction efforts such as development of subcontractor scope packages and pricing.
• Opportunities to visit various heavy civil projects

Education & Work Experience:

• Highly motivated, confident, goal-oriented and entrepreneurial
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and a record of collaboration and teamwork
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree; engineering, or similar disciplines preferred
• Have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Skills:

• Strong Computer Skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Attention to details and ability to recognize discrepancies.

OTHER:

• Able to work after hours, weekends and on call when needed.
• May be located on site fulltime for specific projects.
• Traveling for meetings and site visits nationwide.
• Ability to walk and work on outdoor construction job sites.
• Ability to carry and/or lift up to 40 lbs.

• Have the ability to work underground
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Must have a valid Driver's License
