Candidates must be registered or certified medical assistants. We are looking to add team members who have a strong work ethic, are punctual, detailed, dedicated, and are a part of every solution through support and positive energy.
Our back office medical assistant is a position in which you will work to coordinate surgeries, referrals, and take direct patient calls through telephone triage. This position is 4 days per week, full-time benefitted at 32 hours/week, with the opportunity to work more hours if desired. We would consider part-time applicants if that would better suit your lifestyle as well.
Ob/Gyn, surgery coordination, referrals, and telephone triage experience are preferred, but we would love to train the ideal candidate to compliment our team.
As one of our team members you will be responsible for incoming and outgoing phone calls, refilling medications, scheduling appointments, and informing patients about test results and various other details as directed by providers. You will also be responsible for scheduling and re-scheduling of surgeries and organizing referrals to outside organizations. Other tasks may be assigned as a part of this position as well.
Excellent telephone skills, organization, and attention to detail are key to your success in this role. This position has no direct patient care, requires thorough documentation abilities through keyboard entry, and long periods of sitting. It will require you to be able to process information quickly, efficiently, and correctly within the electronic health record. This position also requires the ability to be flexible with assigned tasks on a daily basis. Having a team mentality will also be key to success in this position as supporting your team members is very important.
Benefits: There are no night, weekend, or holiday shifts. We have a comprehensive benefits package that will supply you with a complete compliment of benefits. Ob/Gyn Associates will pay fees related to maintaining your certification or registration membership, and provide scrubs following your 90 day probationary period.
