This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.

Main Functions

• Create 2D/3D models and drawings to assist Engineers in developing product designs
• Process engineering changes and drawing updates
• Take measurements from prototypes and create/modify engineering CAD files
• Create product concept views to support technical proposals.

Typical Duties

• Work with CAD Software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks to create/modify files.
• Coordinates the collection of data and incorporates such information into drawings.
• Creates CAD files for use on various CNC production and inspection equipment.
• Proficiency in 2D CAD, GD&T skills such as: sheet set-up, scaling, dimensioning, layering, x-references, viewports, and the ability to translate design details.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Creating 2D CAD, Gerber files
• Experience with CAD/CAM Software

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Configuration Management & Document Control
• Experience working in an ISO 9001:2008 with design environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively
• Knowledge of file conversion for import and export
• Knowledge of file conversion from CAD files to laser and/or CNC programming files

Education Requirements

High School, or graduation from a certified technical school.

Experience Requirements

5 years minimum CAD drafting experience
