Job Summary: The Claims Specialist position requires work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple job responsibilities. Should be highly proficient in the performance of claims and administrative tasks. This position demands organization, prioritization, time management and detail orientation.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

. Answering phones.

. Help with some administrative duties when needed.

. Filing Claims.

. Communication with insurance agents/adjusters.

. Review and process new claims and reports.

. Analyze documents and detail claims information.

. Organize and present claims reviews.

. Negotiate settlement.

. Resolve claims in a timely manner.

. Stay up to date on local, state, and federal law changes in the insurance field.

. Additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications Education, Experience, and Skills:

. High School Diploma or Equivalent.

. Must be 18 years or older.

. Reliable Transportation to and from work.

. Ability to calculate basic math.

. Some experience with insurance claims.

. Must have experience with Microsoft Office.

. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

. Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.

. Must have the ability to establish strong internal and external relationships.

. Must have the ability to work with limited supervision.
