Oakwood Dental PLLC is Hiring a Dentist Near Dearborn, MI

We are searching for a knowledgeable dentist who can provide a range of services to our patients and infinite new patients. Our new dentist will meet with patients, work with other staff members, stay up to date with the latest technologies and procedures, and always make it a priority to provide our patients with the best dental experience.

To be a successful dentist, you should be caring, communicative, and experienced in diagnosing and treating dental ailments. You should also be skilled with the various procedures needed to correct dental complaints and ensure the best oral health of patients.

Our ideal candidate may be recently retired, or bought out by a corporation, or looking for an extra day. Newer dentists are also encouraged to inquire. Opportunities are limitless for associate position.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with patients to discuss and treat dental concerns, perform regular cleanings and other preventative procedures, and establish a plan for optimal oral hygiene.
  • Performing dental procedures, such such as extractions, root canals, implants, surgery, filling cavities, and cosmetic procedures.
  • Identifying and correcting bite issues.
  • Applying helpful agents teeth, such as sealants , desensitizers, or whiteners.
  • Prescribing medications for dental problems, such as rinses, antibiotics, or pain medication.
  • Giving clients sedatives or anesthesia prior to administering treatment.
  • Ordering diagnostic measures, such as digital scans, digital x-rays, 3-D scans, preliminary models, etc.
  • Using tools such as drills, probes, lasers, apex locaters, brushes, mirrors, etc., to examine and treat any conditions of the mouth.
  • Keeping records relating to the oral health of patients and the treatments given to them.
  • Communicating with other staff members to provide the ultimate care to the patients.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate of dental surgery or dental medicine.
  • State of Michigan license and malpractice insurance.
  • Additional experience, certifications, credentialing or licensing may be required.
  • Decent computer skills and some experience with healthcare databases and applications preferred.
  • Willingness to comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding dental and healthcare.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to keep detailed records.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, tools, and diagnostics.
  • Good time management skills.
