Medical Assistant in our adult inpatient unit will:
- Assist in coordinating adult care.
- Will administer medications, phlebotomy services, precautions monitoring and pain reassessments.
- Will work interdependently with other health care professionals to provide quality health care to clients.
- Knows the organization’s and department's goals.
- Is sensitive to the interrelationships of both people and functions within the department.
- Will follow Meaningful Use measures.
- May also be required to provide injections, test blood glucose and/or draw blood for lab tests.
Full time or part-time positions, working various hours each week during the following shifts: 3:00pm - 11:30pm or 11:00pm - 7:30am
Customer Contact/Relationships:
- MA interacts directly with clients and families.
- The employee also interacts frequently with physicians, and other employees involved in the case.
- The frequency varies with needs, availability of client, and directives from clinician working with the client and treatment plan.
- High School Diploma/GED required with Certification or Registration required.
- Associate of Applied Science degree from a CAAHEP or AMT-accredited program preferred.
- 1-2 years of clinical or community experience preferred.
