This is a voluntary summer position.
Programs will be held on campus and follow COVID-19 safety rules.
Summer programs will continue to follow any and all plublic health guidelines regarding COVID, as applicable.
FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT III/TECH
Under general supervision, to serve as the cook, preparing main entrée and hot foods for a specified menu; to see that hot foods are prepared in time for service; to serve as the assistant to the food service manager, operating the kitchen in the manager's absence; to assist in all kitchen activities as time permits (i.e., receiving, storing, serving, cleaning up and cashiering); to set up tray sealer and overwrap machine as needed; to keep track of supplies/spare parts for machinery; and to do related work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
SafeServ Certificated required.
Ability to read, write and speak English at the eighth grade or higher level. High school graduation is preferred but not required. One or more years of paid experience in preparing and serving large quantities of food. Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy containers of food; to understand mechanics of packing machine operation; to use small hand tools to make minor adjustments to packing machines. (Certified training by manufacturer's representative is necessary and will be provided by the district.)
GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Constantly stands and stoops at fixed work location; constantly handles materials; frequently lifts and carries heavy materials. Rapid-paced work.

Salary Range: Employee per diem - Employee per diem / Prorata per BU salary schedule
