GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT: POSITION OPENING

School to Career Coordinator

IN THIS ROLE:

Identify, develop, coordinate and maintain work-based opportunities for students interested in
exploring career pathways. Facilitate activities to recruit new business partners, advisory board
members, and potential students.

WHAT WE NEED:

• Identify, develop and coordinate work-based opportunities for students including job

• Conduct follow-up activities on all school-to-career student experiences including training

• Provide information and assistance to students and staff on career opportunities, and

• Work cooperatively with counselors and teachers to assist students in developing

• Compile and analyze program data and statistics; identify and recommend opportunities to

• Coordinate and facilitate various events including Career Fairs, Open Houses, College and

• Coordinate and facilitate activities to recruit new business partners, advisory board

• Maintain effective public relations with business, industry and the community through

• Assist counselors with recruiting activities including making presentations to high school

• Participate in the design and presentation of outreach materials and workshops for parents

WHAT YOU NEED:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Two or more years of related experience.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to travel to local businesses and schools throughout Oakland County and utilize the

equipment necessary in making presentations. The incumbent is also required to properly
operate required office equipment such as a personal computer.

SALARY DETAILS:

$19.50 - $22.62 based on experience, with the potential of earning up to $24.36 Hourly /
NonExempt Position / 10-month work year
