Summary: Provides leadership, professional development and teaching in support of all students. Focus is on instructional resources and services for implementation of a school library media program that serves as an integral part of a student-centered educational process and helps prepare students for a globally competitive world.

Licensing / Certification Requirements: Licensed by NCDPI as a school library media coordinator (076)
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
· Knowledge of K-12 curriculum including North Carolina Essential Standards, and the American Association of School Librarians Standards for the 21st Century Learner.
Physical Requirements: The work requires frequent walking with periods of sitting. This job requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. The work often requires bending, squatting, reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light weights. Ability to use a variety of equipment.
