OAKDELL EGG FARM is Hiring a Sanitation Worker - Night Shift Near Pasco, WA

Oakdell Egg Farms, part of Versova's family of companies bringing farms together to create "One Team", is looking for a night shift Sanitation Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing company and play a significant role in the food industry.

Job Expectations:

In this role, your primary responsibility is to ensure all production areas and production equipment are cleaned and sanitized per regulatory requirements.

  • Observe all safety rules and regulations and safely operate and understand proper machine operating and adjustment procedures.
  • Identify and address product and processing problems in a timely manner and escalate issues to the Sanitation Supervisor if required.
  • Clean Processing machine and area using proper lock out / tag out procedures.
  • Custodial duties throughout the farm which can include but are not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, mopping and cleaning restrooms.
  • Works to understand overall impact of job on team productivity, maintains high level of personal productivity and contributes suggestions for work process improvements.
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined by the employer.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to use independent reasoning and judgment
  • Agile and able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to follow procedures and guidelines and take direction from supervisor
  • Must be available and willing to work weekends and holidays as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL FACTORS:

  • Frequent exposure to humidity, water; repetitive movement, bending and twisting, and using hands to handle cleaning tools
  • Exposure to sustained noise levels
  • Exposure to hazards such as moving machinery, cleaning chemicals, overhead doors, and powered industrial vehicles (forklifts)
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to stand for 95-100% of shift
  • Able to work in an environment containing eggs
  • Must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately
  • Must be available for the night shift, may require weekends, some holidays, occasional overtime, if necessary
