Thisposition secures, protects and safeguards the venue buildings, equipment and grounds - guarding against and reacting to situations involving potential for fire, theft, vandalism and or other causes. Coordinate foot-traffic flow of patrons and visitors to the venues.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $14.00

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Providence, the RICC is within walking distance to restaurants, hotels, shops, art galleries, night clubs, museums and more. We offer 100,000 square feet of exhibition space, 20,000 square feet of ballroom space, 23 meeting rooms, and 30,000 square feet of pre-function space.?

• Conduct "rounds" inside and outside of the venue, observing and reacting to irregularities such as prowlers, fire or potential causes of fire, or other potential causes of loss or damage to property.
• Involve other safety, fire and city patrol officials as situation warrants.
• Prepare associated reports and involve others as situation merits .
• During facility events, directs and controls the flow of patrons, responding to questions, providing direction and reacting to situations requiring support and intervention.

• Ensure that facility and grounds lights are set (on/off) as necessary and that facility doors and property gates are properly secured.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Up to 1 year of related experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with 2-way radios
• Teamwork oriented and positive attitude to welcome guests
