Overview

CFG Bank Arena is offering a paid internship program for the Summer & Fall Semester. We are looking for individuals who want professional level experience and have the initiative, skills, and drive to excel. This program will give individuals an opportunity to work alongside professionals in the live entertainment and venue management industry. This internship will provide experience with Marketing and Public Relations. Interns will gain working knowledge of Marketing and Public Relations in an arena setting.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $15.00.

About the Venue

Opening February 2023, CFG Bank Arena is a 13,000 seat, reimagined world class concert and entertainment venue. A premier destination for fans and artists, CFG Bank Arena will showcase over $200MM in renovations, including modernized, state-of-the-art acoustics, superior suites and exclusive club levels, premium contemporary seating, reimagined concourses, upscale culinary experiences in food & beverage selections, and more! Located in the heart of Baltimore, the venue will include a new exterior façade, green scaping and enhanced lighting, this iconic landmark will offer guests the ultimate entertainment experience in town. Rich in history, uniting fans with memories old and new, CFG Bank Arena will host 120 shows annually including the hottest artists on the planet. It will be a cornerstone of the City of Baltimore, committed to the community, and redeveloped in the heart of Baltimore. Responsibilities

Responsibilities & Expectations:

• Assist in the research and organization of promotional and publicity campaigns centered around Arena events.
• During events, interns will work alongside the Arena management to support show sponsors, radio station presence, pre/post parties, photographers, and press.
• Monitoring newspapers, local TV news and social media for Arena mentions.
• Various public relations projects as assigned.
• Assists with the generation and distribution of press releases, press statements, feature stories and public service announcements concerning the venues and its events.
• Interns are a crucial part of our department; responsibility and accountability are a large component of the experience.
• Events include family shows, concerts, sporting events and several special events.
• Maintain a presence in meetings and team activities regarding upcoming events and always see if there is something you can do, learn, or drive.
• Be willing to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• High level of demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and ability to maintain sensitive information.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Current Junior or Senior at an accredited university or graduated within the past 6-12 months.
• Excellent computer skills are a must, basic graphic design skills are helpful. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Interest in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related areas of study.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva.
• A ‘can-do’ attitude, a strong desire to learn and self-motivation.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
