Overview:
The goal of a pricing analyst is to improve the profitability of their organization by optimizing prices so that customer needs are balanced with the company's financial objectives.
Duties:
-Uses software tools to analyze customer base and rates for areas of improvement.
- Analyze pricing data and market trends to develop competitive pricing strategies
- Responsible for pricing and response to all offers working closely with appropriate sales/operations personnel.
- Coordinates closely with the Sales and Marketing Analyst in the bidding processes.
- Collaborate with sales and product management teams to align pricing with business objectives.
- Analyze the evolution of prices and propose sales strategies.
- Coordinates closely with the Sales and Marketing Analyst in the bidding processes.
- Attends sales/operations meetings as necessary to review results of analytical process and bid/pricing results.
- Type and email rate quotations for Commercial and Sales.
- Monitor profitability indicators of client portfolios.
- Utilize tools such as Excel and other data mining software (Mcleod) for pricing analytics.
- Negotiate pricing agreements with vendors and clients to ensure favorable terms.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing initiatives through sales analysis.
- Ensure compliance with Cost Accounting Standards and company policies.
- Maintain clear and concise pricing files.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- Proven experience in financial analysis, pricing, or related roles
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Knowledge of product management principles is advantageous
