Job purpose
This position will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance procedures, standards, and guidelines. Will work closely with the third-party sanitation team to drive continuous improvement in the production facilities. This individual is responsible for identifying deviations and potential hazards prior to commencing operations and controlling and addressing deviations using Corrective Actions and QA Hold practices and shall initiate necessary Corrective Actions to address findings and non-compliances.
Duties and responsibilities
Essential Duties:
● Schedule, communicate and conduct company wide Internal Audits against companywide guidelines, procedures, programs, and processes.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide guidance for implementation of documented systems.
● Analyze process reports and troubleshoot problems to correct quality issues.
● Coordinate activities and provide coaching and guidance to workers in the quality team.
● Work alongside and with the team, stepping in as needed to ensure maximum productivity.
● Receives direction from management and carries out instructions based on given directive.
● Follow and enforce all safety, GMP and SQF policies/procedures, as well as adherence to PPE/hygiene policies.
● Responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures regarding purchased material, in-process material, and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved.
● Responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records.
● Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP and certification standards.
● Keep up to date with changes in food safety regulations and communicate these changes.
● Develop and maintain food safety plans and documentation.
● Collaborate with suppliers to establish the requirements for food safety standards, while confirming adherence to these standards for incoming material, production, and storage processes.
● Support and guide manufacturing and warehouse facilities that are new to Food Safety Standards through implementation of required quality management systems.
● Maintain accurate records of internal audit reporting with detailed objective evidence, outlining compliance and non-compliance.
● Develop and implement crisis management programs and recall plans in case of product safety issues.
● Initiate an annual corporate mock recall and crisis management scenario to challenge the company recall system.
● Implement best practices, drive, and build a quality culture.
● Along with Bottling Line Supervisor will train and oversee Quality Control Technicians

Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred
