LPN/RN Position Summary
Licensed Practical Nurses and/or Registered Nurses direct the function of our nursing staff, including CNAs. Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses effectively communicate with residents, families, physicians, and other care staff to ensure the optimal well-being of the resident. The nurse administers professional nursing services, including setting up and passing medications, observing the five rights of medication administration, monitoring for medication effects and/or interactions, participating in resident care planning, recognizing, and identifying changes in resident’s condition, responsibly communicating and providing routine and non-emergent care to residents, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) if serving as an LPN. LPNs and RNs are an essential part of our community, providing the best life and care for our residents.
LPN/RN Job Qualifications and Requirements
Completion of a nursing program at an accredited school of nursing.
At least two years of experience in nursing care in a similar setting is preferred
Possession of a current Florida nursing license
Valid Driver’s License
Must have excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively to staff, residents, families, and community members
Must have effective supervisory skills with the ability to participate in clinical and administrative decision making based on established policies and procedures
Must be empathetic, energetic, and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population
All applicants must complete and pass a Level II Background Check and Drug Screening
