SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance of all equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on kitchen equipment, including electrical and refrigeration systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues to determine necessary repairs
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, compressors, valves, and switches
  • Assemble and install new equipment as needed
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly and safely
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to service calls and addressing customer concerns
  • Applies operational procedures as required by state and local codes. Maintains log of all equipment status and inventory of parts and materials necessary for repairs. Maintains and tracks Refrigerant recovery and use under EPA standards.
  • Keeps all equipment, equipment rooms and other assigned areas clean.
  • Assists all other trades in the Facilities Department, Mechanics, Carpenter, Electrician, Hotel Tech. Painter and others as directed by Shift Supervisor
  • Assist in performing maintenance and repairs on HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems as needed and maintain records of maintenance and repairs
  • Abide by safety policies and report safety hazards to Supervisor / Department Manager
  • Respond to emergency and critical situations
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

  • Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced customer service and problem-solving skills. 
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of shift.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in working with refrigeration equipment, commercial kitchen equipment and other related systems.
  • Technical certification preferred but not required.
  • Must possess a Universal EPA Refrigerant License.
  • Ability to use test equipment including, but not limited to, multi-meters, temperature probes, and circuit tracers.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues efficiently.
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
