Oak Forest Dental Wellness is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Forest, IL

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled, energetic Dental Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will assist dentists chairside during procedures and perform various patient care, office, and laboratory duties.

Duties:

- Prepare patients for dental work by obtaining their medical history
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
- Maintain accurate patient records and taking notes
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists in various procedures including periodontal and implant surgery
- Perform patient assessment tasks such as charting, blood pressure monitoring, and updating medical history

-Taking impressions and pouring up models

Skills:

- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques
- Ability to perform patient assessments including vital signs and charting
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality

-Familiarity with dental software Eaglesoft is helpful but not required

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic dental practice where you can enhance your skills while providing essential support to our patients and dental team. We are seeking an individual who loves working with patients and making them feel comfortable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
