Role

O2DCA is currently seeking a talented Frontend Web Developer to join our growing team. The Frontend Web Developer will play a key role in creating unique solutions, shaping the user interface and overall user experience of websites and web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and backend developers, to create visually appealing and highly functional web interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with a team of web developers to produce high-quality software solutions
• Building & maintaining client websites, CRMs, applications, & custom software solutions
• Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and implementing them accordingly
• Collaborating with designers to translate UI/UX design wireframes into code
• Designing & developing scalable, reliable, and efficient software applications using PHP and other technologies
• Utilizing HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SCSS, PHP, MySQL, and Apache, among other languages
• Testing and debugging tools frontend code using tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Staying updated on emerging trends and technologies in frontend development to ensure continuous improvement
• Ensuring that software solutions meet industry standards and are compatible with different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Investigating and resolving technical issues and defects in websites and software builds
• Participation in code reviews and providing technical guidance to team members
• Developing within a Linux Environment and on the SSH Command Line
• Working closely and collaboratively with a team of skilled developers and project managers to plan, develop, and release work across digital platforms

Serious Candidates Should Possess

• Ability to extend WordPress core functionality through the use of custom post types and custom taxonomies.
• Understanding of WordPress security best practices
• Ability to troubleshoot WordPress-related issues and providing solutions
• Knowledge of WordPress Multisite
• Comfortability working in an Agile framework and communicating with a cross-functional team
• Ability to multi-task, take direction, and prioritize tasks assigned by project management team
• Personal time management skills including organizing and managing multiple projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to ensure that software solutions meet industry standards and are compatible with different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
• Performance of self QA code reviews and working with received feedback from lead developers
• Capability to develop within a Linux Environment and on the Command Line
• Ability to work closely and collaboratively with a team of skilled developers and project managers to plan, develop, and release work across digital platforms and possess the ability to handle all situations with tact and diplomacy
• High attention to detail and the ability to be detail-oriented
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to change

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related Web Development field
• Proven experience as a Frontend Developer or similar role
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, and when to it is appropriate to use each solution.
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress – including custom theme development with additional experience using Elementor to transform design mockups / wireframes into functional websites.
• Familiarity with WordPress APIs, hooks, and filters
• Experience with version control systems such as Git

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
