Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform minor maintenance activities such as painting, plumbing, and electrical wiring using hand tools.
  • Maintain overall security of the hotel, including door locks, key security, and asset protection.
  • Replace air-conditioner filters and notify management of major repairs needed.
  • Respond to guest requests for service and stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the pool area and equipment.
  • Keep records of equipment maintenance and repair, and ensure par stocking of supplies.
  • Embrace company culture and comply with all policies and procedures.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to motivate team members and handle multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hotel maintenance procedures and standards.
  • Comfortable with a high level of visibility and leadership role within the hotel and community.
Education & Experience:
  • Certificate from a Vocational Institution preferred, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in maintenance and three years' experience in plumbing, electrical, and painting trades.
  • Current Driver's License required.
Hours:
  • Flexible schedule including nights and weekends, with availability for emergency response as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Physical activities include climbing, kneeling, standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Close visual acuity required for various tasks.
Environmental Conditions:
  • Work occurs both inside and outside the hotel.
  • May be exposed to hazards such as moving mechanical parts and exposure to chemicals.
  • Occasional work in confined spaces may be required.
