Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and serves hot breakfast for guests following company policies and procedures.
  • Assembles the breakfast buffet before mealtime and disassembling it thereafter.
  • Ensures that the breakfast buffet always remains well-stocked.
  • Maintains the breakfast/lobby area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Provides customers with condiments upon request.
  • Offers assistance and superior service to guests throughout their stay.
  • Observes diners to fulfill any additional request and to perceive when the meal has been completed.
  • Maintains the work area, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Sweeps, vacuums, and mops the floors after each meal service.
  • Cleans and sanitizes tables and countertops after each meal service.
  • Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene in compliance with regulations.
  • Assists in maintaining equipment used.
  • Empties trash receptacles as needed and disposes of properly.
  • Conducts accurate inventory of food items and calculates order levels.
  • Stocks area with needed supplies and assists with storing products delivered to the hotel.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to deliver results.
  • The ability to work well with, as well as motivate, a variety of personality types and maintain tact and diplomacy throughout all interactions.

  • Maintains a positive reputation within the community.

Hours:

  • Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Restaurant or customer service experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements of the Position:

  • Light Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
  • May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds on occasion.

Physical Activity of the Position:

  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • A job is considered “inside” if the worker spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time inside.
