JOB TITLE: Steward

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage

REPORT TO: Executive Chef

CLASSIFICATION: Non Exempt; full-time

JOB STATEMENT/PURPOSE:

The primary function of the Dishwasher is to assist the restaurant/banquet staff with dishwashing support services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the kitchen/banquet staff as needed
• Clean all dishes, pots, utensils, and silverware from the restaurant or special event
• Put away the dishes and all equipment used
• Take out the garbage and clean kitchen work areas

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Some experience in customer service helpful but not required
• Must be a minimum of 16 years old
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and constantly use hands, arms, eyes, and voice
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs
• Must work as a team player

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow safe and proper procedures in the course of daily work
• Perform opening and closing duties as appropriate
• Arrive on time and demonstrate effective time management
• Other duties as assigned, including tasks which support the essential functions and may be changed or redesigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Shift:

• Evening shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
