Bachoco USAis seeking a Continuous Improvement Managerfor ourFort Smith, AR location.

Summary:This position will institute continuous improvement throughout the organization. Key areas will include but are not limited to training, project management, analysis and process documentation. It will require an overall knowledge of the poultry production process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned.

  • Calculates potential cost savings or revenue gains associated with identified opportunities.
  • Serves as facility trainer in Lean manufacturing, TPS and Six Sigma principles instilling continuous improvement
  • Actively involved in plant process changes, giving direction as to what options fit needs best while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Identify and deliver service improvement activity across the business through employingprocess improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking
  • Work with key business stakeholders, and multi-jurisdictional 'LEAN champions', to build acontinuous improvement environment to support an ongoing program of change
  • Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification andelimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better waysof working
  • Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls
  • Some travel required
  • This is a safety sensitive posiiton.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum accredited Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Minimum 5-7 years proven continuous improvement analytical experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis
  • Excellent understanding of continuous improvement concepts including Six Sigma, Lean, value stream mapping
  • Ability to set-up, facilitate and lead service improvement sessions with a range of business stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of senior managers and executive team members
  • Strong analytical, project and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements

Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Strong mathematical skills.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
