Industrial Janitor 2nd shift

Department: Maintenance

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Newburgh

Reporting To: HR Manager

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 / hour

Description

Maintain proper housekeeping throughout plant.
1st, 2nd and 3rd shift openings!

Key Responsibilities

1. Sweep, mop and scrub machine area, midway and aisles.

2. Clean lunchroom and restrooms.

3. Pick up trash from the production facility.

4. Cover press operators during breaks.

5. Check facility visually for spills and messes.

6. Sweep maintenance area.

7. Pick up debris from grounds.

8. Must have basic knowledge of TS16949 and know the Quality Policy.

9. Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.

10. Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.

11. Stock shelves with incoming maintenance supplies.

Maintain detailed cleaning of restrooms, breakrooms and offices
Keep shop area clean by sweeping main aisles and between presses when needed
Maintain cleaning closet inventory, communicating with Front office for any required items
Assist production team as required in clearing out pallets, packaging material etc. when tools are moved
Empty all garbage and place in dumpster

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

High School diploma or equivalency.
Experience in cleaning production facilities is preferred.
