N.Y.V. Summer Camp has been a family owned and operated business in South Florida for over 10 years. We are seeking creative and organized camp counselors to join our growing camp. In this position, you will play a key role in shaping and educating our campers by instructing them on numerous activities and experiences.

You will also collaborate with other counselors to organize activities, and lead campers in fun-filled projects.

Camp Counselor Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee various camper activities
• Ensure camper safety and monitor them at all times
• Ensure recreational equipment is secure and stored properly
• Supervise campers during meals
• Instruct campers in daily routines and cleanup tasks
• Follow safety and emergency procedures and guidelines
• Instruct and organize camper projects as necessary (arts and crafts etc.)

Camp Counselor Requirements and Qualifications:

• Previous experience working at a summer camp, as a counselor, counselor-in-training, or related field preferred.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Encouraging to campers and patient when instructing.
• Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor.
• Comfortable working as part of a team.
• Strict adherence to camp philosophy, standards, and goals.

If selected for this position, you will be required to pass a background screening and drug test as well as DCF fingerprinting/screening requirements and Virtus training.
