Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Bioinformatician.

We are seeking to hire a full-time Bioinformatician for the New York University research unit working on multipleomic projects including metabolomics and proteomics. This Bioinformatician will interface with computational biologists and clinical investigators and work on a range of cohorts including ARIC, AASK, and kidney cohorts in the CKD biomarkers consortium. The Bioinformatician in this position will also contribute to our upcoming COVID-19 related initiatives within these cohort studies, playing a critical role in allowing these analyses to be done in a timely manner for publication.

Job Responsibilities:

• Active collaboration with investigators to design analyses of study data for papers,
grants, and presentations;
• Conduct of analyses for cross sectional, cohort, and case-cohort study designs;
• Assisting in the interpretation and writing of statistical results for manuscripts and
other reports;
• Assisting in developing, writing and implementing statistical analysis plans;
• Guide faculty and students in appropriate use of the data including documentation
of information on a shared network drive and collaboration with administrative and
IT staff;
• Collaboration with statisticians at other study research units and Coordinating
Centers regarding study designs and analyses;
• Implementation of novel analytic methods when appropriate in collaboration with
faculty in the Department of Biostatistics;
• Participation in regular seminars and meetings;
• Collaboration with faculty members and trainees in epidemiology, biostatistics and
medicine.
• Preforms other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a PHD and at least 1 year of experience. Preferred 3 years experience.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $76,721.84 - $94,325.86 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
