Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Assistant Director, Real Estate Development & Facilities.
The mission of Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED F) Department is to plan, develop, operate and maintain the campus of the NYU Langone Medical Center (NYULMC) and provide the foundation for its growth and success in the 21st century. RED F provides strategic campus planning and project development services, including architectural studies, programming, design, construction and associated infrastructure and technological upgrades, for new structures and renovations to existing structures throughout NYU Langone hospitals and associated Ambulatory Care network.
The Department also operates and manages all facilities, infrastructure and related support services across the Health System.
RED F is composed of the Real Estate and Housing; Planning, Design and Construction; Facilities Operations & Management; Finance & Administration; Campus Security; Environmental Services; Environmental Health & Safety; Radiation Safety; Clinical Engineering; and Food and Nutrition divisions.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Clinical Affairs, and to the Sr. Director, Real Estate, the Assistant Director will be responsible for:
Project management for planned and ongoing capital projects at Florida ambulatory practice sites and at call centers in Florida and Nevada, and other projects as may be assigned.

Key Competencies & Performance Standards
1. The ability to lead, develop and manage multiple project teams in a collaborative environment;
2. Familiarity with, and the ability to make recommendations for, appropriate procurement methods and project delivery models to suit the unique needs of a dynamic and fast-moving capital portfolio;
3. An understanding of the interdependent network of studies, tasks, and various deliverables required to successfully manage capital projects from planning and concept design through implementation and occupancy, consistent with defined objectives and approved budgets.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to refine scope, and to ensure that project is being properly managed and is completed on time and on budget;
5. In conjunction with consultants and project management staff, provide daily quality and safety monitoring of construction throughout projects until final closeout;
6. Commitment to working collaboratively, across internal departments and with external vendors, balancing demands to deliver projects in alignment with overall organizational objectives;
7. Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with outside Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, as well as NYULH executives, managers and staff.
8. Excellent communications skills, ability to effectively and appropriately present to diverse groups at all levels of the organization
9. Thorough knowledge of Building and Zoning Codes, AHCA (Fla.), FGI, NIH, JCAHO, NFPA and OSHA as well as ADA regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design or Real Estate management. Minimum of five years of progressive experience in architecture and/or engineering, design and construction, facilities management, and institutional facility planning. Strong background in Facilities Management, Project Management and financial management of major projects. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and customer service orientation required.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.96 - $162,649.75 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
