Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate.
The Section for Health Equity at NYU Grossman School of Medicine's Department of Population Health is looking to hire a per diem student research intern. This position includes quantitative analysis to help with current and future health equity research initiatives focused on nutrition and food systems.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Quantitative data collection and analysis -
   1. Community needs assessment - Construct REDCap data collection forms, conduct data cleaning/data analysis using R, STATA or other statistical software; interpret and write-up results for partners
   2. Complex survey weighted analysis - independently lead analysis of NHANES dietary data and subsequent manuscript preparation pertaining to probiotics and/or diets of Gen Z
2. Prepare manuscripts for publication
3. Attends regular project meetings
4. Other research-related activities as needed (e.g., reviewing surveys, pulling references)

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in science, public health, health education or a related field.
2. Strong written skills for public health, nutrition peer-reviewed products.
3. Experience with quantitative research and all steps.
4. Effective communication and time management skills, ability to work well on multiple projects.
5. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
6. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications and reference manager software.
7. Experience in manuscript writing and history of publications.
8. Commitment to health disparities in immigrant and minority communities.
9. Experience in manuscript writing and history of publications.
