Brief DescriptionAs a School-Based Therapist in Nystrom & Associates Community Based division, you’ll work in our CTSS (Children’s Therapeutic Support Services) program. You will have the opportunity to implement high-quality, culturally-sensitive mental health services to children and adolescents in the school setting. We are looking for a compassionate individual who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the clients we serve. We are all about helping! In This Role, You’ll Have The Opportunity To
Provide culturally responsive mental health skills to children, adolescents and their families in a school setting
Assist children, adolescents and their families in identifying goals for functional improvement and work with them to meet their goals
Design and implement treatment/intervention reflective of the child’s needs
Work collaboratively with the school district, school personnel divisions, and other community-based agencies
Provide psychoeducation to school staff
Design and implement therapeutic groups for students
Receive clinical supervision from a qualified staff, and obtain continuing education units
Employees pursuing professional licensure are eligible to participate in Nystrom & Associates’ Professional Development Track. The Professional Development Track gives early career therapists the opportunity to work as an Outpatient Therapist after 9 months of providing School-Based services. This track also has a specific focus on continuing education and an emphasis on training and advancement.

In order to be considered for this position, you must be qualified in at least one of the following ways:
Meet the Clinical Trainee requirements per MN State Statute 245I.04.06
Has completed an accredited graduate program of study to prepare the staff person for independent licensure as a mental health professional
Meet the Mental Health Professional requirements per MN State Statue 245I.04.02
Licensed as a LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP in Minnesota
Ability to work independently; Valid driver’s license/auto insurance/reliable vehicle
Must be proficient in the use of computers, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and the use of email
