Position Overview
The individual(s) selected for this position will be responsible for applying geographic information science in response to intelligence needs using SIGINT data collected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use the various systems and tools that facilitate spatial analysis
- Maintain or support maintenance of reference knowledge databases and dissemination of intelligence.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED plus 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience is required. In some cases, a Master’s degree and/or Doctoral degree will each count toward 2 years of experience.
- Degree in geospatial information systems, geography, or a related field is preferred, but a degree in any field is acceptable
- Relevant experience must be in an area directly related to the customer’s mission (e.g., collection, cyber and intelligence analysis), in a similar mission in the IC or DoD, in geospatial analysis and/or geospatial information systems. At least some experience conducting geospatial analysis is preferred for lower level positions. Formal/informal leadership experience is preferred for higher level positions.
Required Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of, and ability to draw from multiple disciplines in order to undertake spatial data manipulation, spatial data analysis, spatial statistical analysis and spatial modeling.
- Must possess a fundamental knowledge of geospatial SIGINT data, analytical methods, and visualization
- Possesses technical knowledge of target technologies
- Ability to work effectively in team environments as well as independently with minimal supervision and will professionally and effectively interact with client personnel at all levels.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, high attention to detail, and sound operational judgment
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment where prioritization is required.
- Strong organizational, writing, and briefing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite to include Word and Excel.
