Job Description

Nyla is seeking a candidate to support our federal client’s mission in an intelligence domain. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team. Possess the ability to direct work in a fast-paced environment and integrate across federal and contractor workstream. Identify strategic gaps and policy improvement opportunities and develop comprehensive and integrated solutions. Experience in Policy and Governance and Project Management practices with automation/data visualization experience on a large government software or data analytic development contract. Experience standing up and/or iterating on large scale processes.

Duties

• Support the team tracking and reporting to clients on multiple executive priorities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Prioritize and direct multiple high visualization projects across DHS mission spaces.
• Interact and communicate across a variety of stakeholder groups (from technical subject matter experts to senior executives).
• Direct the development, rollout and improvement of new project tracking tool (Jira Confluence) and provide support in developing reference documentation.
• Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
• Facilitate meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings (tech exchanges, status meetings, user sessions, etc.)
• Serve as the key interface between the users and the project manager they gather information, document processes, and confirm the final documents with users
• Effectively communicate status, next steps, insights, schedules, etc. with cross-functional team members and management.
• Prepare executive level-briefing materials (e.g., memos, papers, presentations etc.) on a weekly and Ad-Hoc basis
• Utilize standard templates to gather information on items going through the governance process
• Review and direct development of team products including presentation, meeting minutes, etc.

Required Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence in particular)
• Experience with Agile development practices
• Experience developing user requirements for agile development (Epics, User Stories, etc.)
• Good Communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Problem-solving, critical thinking, and modeling skills
• Negotiation skills, stakeholder management, user involvement skills
• Proven experience delivering Business Intelligence solutions
• Ability to work with multiple different personality types while managing workload within a fast paced, energetic, and dynamic workplace
• Engage with anticipated end-users, to understand the analysts' current business processes and pain points.
• Help the government prioritize requirements and develop a consensus about the functionality that will be delivered in the Minimal Viable Product (MVP).
• Four (4) to (6) years of relevant experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), OR related four-year STEM degree is required
