Project Engineer

Highlights
· Leads cross-functional teams through all phases of product development and release to ensure projects are completed on time, at cost, and meet product performance requirements.
· Manages APQP documentation requirements per project.
· Serve as a primary point of contact to customer and internally for product development and program management activities.
· Provides project status & risk assessments across company, presenting to senior management monthly.
· Involved in maintaining and advancing relationships with customers. Travels to customer, as needed, for program support. Works closely with all other departments within the company to ensure that product meets customer expectations. (i.e. reliability, manufacturability, aesthetics, customer requirements, regulatory requirements, etc.)
· Supports prototyping process including definition, sourcing, & execution.
· Keeps informed as to customer markets as they affect product portfolio.
· Provides assistance, with respect to product application, to internal and external marketing representatives and customers.
· Leads project documentation in compliance with quality system implementation.
· Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
Project Management and development within the automotive, heavy duty or industrial equipment industry.
Most of managing the projects will be manufacturing and mechanical projects.
3 years Professional engineering experience.
Willingness to learn Stage Gate Processes, would be ideal if have some experience.
Great verbal and written communication, organized, good documentation skills (Position is a customer facing role)
Ability to travel 10% to 15% annually
Preferred
Consumer product experience a plus
Visa sponsorship- Not authorized for this position now or in the future.
Relocation package is unavailable for this position.
Must be able to pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
Annual Salary Rate: $80K to $95K (DOE)
